Warrior Course Advancement Standards

The following standards will be required for advancement in the Warrior Course:

White To Yellow

  • Basic proficiency in Fundamental Strikes, Combo’s, Escapes, and Takedown Defense.
  • Improved Physical Fitness
  • Positive Mental Attitude
  • Successfully Pass Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Level 1
  • Fight 1 3-minute Round, Full Contact (MMA Rules)
PFT Level 1:
  Pushups 30
  Situps 30
  Pullups 2
  300m Sprint 56 sec
  1-mile Run 8:30

Yellow To Green

  • Continued Development in Fundamental Techniques
  • Basic Proficiency in Throws, Sweeps, Takedowns, Weapon Defense, and Ground Combatives
  • Beginning skills with advanced Strikes, Kicks, and Combo’s
  • Working knowledge of Fight Strategy
  • Improved Physical Fitness
  • Positive Mental Attitude
  • Successfully Pass PFT Level 2
  • Fight 2 3-minute Rounds, Full Contact (MMA Rules)

Green To Blue

Hawkstorm Challenge Level 1:
The student will undergo an intense training day lasting approximately 12 Hours. During that time, each participant will complete various exercises beginning with the PFT and will be ongoing throughout the duration of the event. It is designed to be a basic familiarization with the concepts of pushing your limits of physical and mental endurance.

    • Warrior Ethics
  • Successfully Pass the Hawkstorm Final Written Exam
  • Successfully Pass PFT Level 5
  • Successfully Complete “Hawkstorm Challenge – Mini Hellweek”

Hawkstorm Challenge – Mini Hellweek:

This event is designed to push the prospective Hawkstorm Black Belt past any old limits he or she has and teach them the value of the “never quit” mentality in a practical way. The student will undergo 48 hours of continuous training beginning with the PFT. Completion of the event will be dependent on the students dedication, mental toughness, and commitment to becoming a Hawkstorm Black Belt. Students who successfully complete the training will be awarded their Black Belts in accordance with the Hawkstorm Academy Warrior Course Black Belt Program.

As the Chief Instructor it is my duty to prepare each student over the course of their training for the successful completion of each element required to earn a Black Belt, however, the individual student will have to commit themselves to pushing pass old limits and undergoing training on their own outside of class if they truly wish to step into the ranks of the elite. I will do all I can to guide you along the way!
